please ask me as many questions as you want. I use white pastel/charcoal and I take photos of my drawings. I haven't had much luck scanning them but then again my scanner is not that great!

You must have a great camera, as well as great photography skills, because I try dozens of times to take pictures of my work and they don't come out nearly as clear as this.

It sure is difficult and as you see I've been taking photos of these drawings for the past few years. In the beggining it was so hard to find the right light but it seems that taking the photo in the house with (non direct light) coming through the window is the best. Still, there are so many times when the color of the paper looks different and theres just nothing I can do about it. Oh well

I completely agree with you. :D Direct light is never a good idea, especially with reflective mediums like graphite! :(

However, unless you have a camera like mine, in which it only takes good, clear pictures when the flash is on, that's not so much a problem.

I used to have the same exact problem with the different coloring....So I adjusted it with photoshop by messing with the color levels and it works out beautifully. However I know everyone can't have access to programs like that, which is why there are numerous free photoshop-like programs such as GIMP that I've also used in the same ways. :)

Thanks, actually it does take a bit of searching throughout the house before I'm able to come out with a picture that has just the right light. I can only seem to get a good photo during the middle of the day inside the house, well, if the sun is out anyway LOL.
